Treatment Plant Operator

City Of Margate. Under the supervision of a specified departmental supervisor, operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge and effluent. The incumbent observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and tests results to determine processing requirements. Work is reviewed through observation and written reports of adherence to established State of Florida Rules and Regulations. Essential Functions

Electrical Inspector II

City Of Coral Springs. Under general direction, the purpose of the position is to review construction plans and specifications for construction development to ensure compliance with City Ordinance, the Florida Building Code, and outside agencies. Employees in this classification perform at a technical level and are responsible for reviewing plans at all phases of construction. The Inspector II ensures the construction plans conform with city ordinances, the Florida Building Code, and outside agencies prior to the issuance of the building permit. This employee works closely with residents, business owners, contractors and developers. Excellent communication skills and customer service are necessary. Perform field inspections when necessary.

Plumbing Inspector I

City Of Coral Springs. This position inspects construction development to ensure compliance with City Ordinance, the Florida Building Code, and outside agencies. Employees in this classification perform at a technical level and are responsible for inspecting all phases of construction to verify conformity with the approved plans and specifications. The objective is to enforce all local, state and federal laws, ordinances and regulations to ensure the safety and welfare of the public. This employee works closely with residents, business owners, contractors and developers. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required

Laborer

City Of Pompano Beach. Performs routine manual labor duties of an unskilled nature in the collection of trash and janitorial services. Picks up trash and empties garbage cans in public areas and roadways. On a limited basis, performs custodial duties in park restrooms. Loads and unloads heavy materials from trucks and vans. Moves and relocates bleachers and tents and other equipment for special activities. May lock various parks located throughout the city. May drive a city vehicle to carry out duties. May clear parks of patrons prior to closing.

Utilities System Operator

City Of Pompano Beach. Performs manual labor work requiring knowledge of underground utility maintenance and construction work. Operates various classes of vehicles including large trucks and maintenance/construction equipment. Will occasionally supervise unskilled employees. Keeps records and submits reports as required. Performs related work as required, i.e., excavation, install clean outs and trouble shoot collection system issues, use Jet Vacs to clean and inspect the collection system.

Plumber

City Of Pompano Beach. Installs new piping, lavatories, slop sinks, toilets, urinals, showers, drinking fountains, grease traps and other plumbing fixtures. Repairs and maintains valves, faucets, traps, sinks, wash bowls, sewers, vents, and kitchen, bathroom or toilet fixtures. Reads and interprets data, information, documents, and manufacturers' manuals. May perform inspection of new backflow units and associated installations; performs routine inspection of City's service area to assess backflow prevention needs in order to ensure conformance with the City as well as federal, state, and local backflow and cross connection regulations.
